Jo and Nicky Darc make up The Twistettes with their dirty, twisted bass sound, a hit of swinging flare and thumping driving drums. They are punk, art-rock, riot grrrl, real-deal indie with a touch of psychobilly. The band have performed at various venues from the legendary Glasgow Barrowlands to secret underground parties. They are regulars on the UK festival circuit and have toured the UK and South East Asia.

In 2016 the band released debut album ‘Jilt the Jive’. They quickly gained momentum and a strong reputation as a powerful live act. Follow up album ‘A Strange Play’ was released in 2018 on the back of the bands trip to Asia. Having made music together since they picked up instruments they have a sixth sense when it comes to making music together that fuels the relentless sound they create.

2020 saw the band pull together a live album from the depths of lockdown which included some classics and some previously unrecorded material including the single ‘Tory Cunts’. Currently the band are working on new material and hope to have a new studio album out in 2021
