"Sam Bidgood has played drums on the Scottish music scene since 2009, performing terrestrially and internationally with bands like Yoko Pwno, Future Get Down, and Hot Mode. Rather than listen to other drummers, Sam decided to listen to a bunch of Justice/Aphex Twin/Carpenter Brut instead, because it was honestly more enjoyable than watching shred merchants on Instagram. Sam poses the question "What happens when you improv some janky syncopated grooves along to some Ableton-based SPD madness?" to the universe, hoping that the universe has the decency not to spit the answer back directly into his face."

Boardgame are an Edinburgh-based improvised electronica duo who combine modular synthesis and custom audiovisual software to create emotive, breathtaking and unique shows.
Pushing improvisation, looping and real-time sampling to their limits, the pair start every performance with a blank slate. From there they build layer upon layer of sound (vocal loops, ambient textures, live broadcast sampling, analogue and digital synths) and vision (custom-built graphics that evolve over time, sometimes following their own logic, sometimes synchronised to the beat), every moment a collaboration, so to speak, with unpredictability itself.
